New York City, renowned for its vibrant arts and culture scene, has always been a hub of inspiration for designers from all disciplines. Since its inception in 1973, The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club has celebrated interior design in an annual exhibition right in the heart of Manhattan. This year, our design team made the trek north to visit the highly anticipated 48th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House!
Interior designers from across the world demonstrate their talent by transforming a room in the historic River Mansion, located in the Upper West Side. The unique hodgepodge of styles gives the home a unique perspective, reflective of the home's history and the families who lived there.
In just 40 days, the 10,000 square foot 100-year-old home was transformed. This may be the most impressive part!
Halden Interiors, who transformed the Den, "wanted to design a space that felt protected by the beauty of nature and that evokes passion,". This was our absolute favorite room in the house. This chandelier made us stop in our tracks!
It is always a treat to celebrate interior design, especially when it is for a cause as great as this one. We will be back next year!
